Back pain is a common disease today which can be seen often in people and if sources are to be believed, there are about 60% of the people in India who face the problem of back pain at some point of time and there are some who often get it. The problem remains. Back pain is not a major disease, but if the pain persists then it is very important to see a doctor.

Types of Back Pain

1. Postural Syndrome- 

Due to sitting or standing incorrectly, some cells in our spinal cord get stressed and there is pain below the waist, this is called postural syndrome.

2. Derangement Syndrome- 

There are discs in our spinal cord and there is a fluid in these discs, due to which there is more pressure on other tissue(s), it is also called 'slipped disc'.

3. Dysfunction Syndrome- 

This type of problem occurs due to the shortening or relaxation of our muscles, joints, nerves.

According to doctors, 70% to 80% of back pain is due to people not sitting properly.

Back Pain Treatment at Home

Doctors say that back pain is not a very big disease, if you want, you can get rid of this problem with some caution and some exercise. Do walk a little in the morning, keep the body moving a little. Your food also plays an important role in this. Calcium and magnesium are helpful in making bones strong. Fish, sesame grains, pumpkin, and leafy vegetables are helpful in relieving back pain. Let us know some ways in which back pain can be relieved –

1. Rest - 

If you have back pain, then take some rest, which will nourish your spine and the body will also get rest. Sometimes a minor injury occurs in the spine while doing some weight work and the injury is recovered by taking rest.

2. Hot and cold treatments – 

Cold is a therapy in which people fill hot water in a bottle or something and put it on the back. At the same time, some people fill cold water or ice cubes and keep them on the back. By doing this, there is relief in back pain. 

3. Exercise - 

There are many easy exercises for back pain, which you can do under the advice of a doctor or under the supervision of a trainer. Keep in mind, the wrong way of exercising can also increase your pain.

4. Change sleeping position –

If the back pain is persistent, then it is very important for you to change your sleeping position as well. If you sleep on your side, then sleep with a pillow between your legs and if you sleep straight with the support of the waist, then put a pillow under your knees, it will be better if you put a thin pillow under the waist.

5. Improve your sitting style - 

People who do such a job where they have to sit continuously, they complain of back pain more. Try to get up and walk a little in between because many muscles of the body become inactive due to continuous sitting. Apart from this, the way you sit is the biggest reason for the pain. Try not to bend your waist too much while sitting straight, in the picture below you can see the correct way of sitting.

6. Yoga –

By doing yoga, you will get relief in back pain to a great extent. There are also many videos available on the internet from where you can learn to do yoga. Apart from this, you can also take the help of an expert.

7. Nutritious diet-

As mentioned above, magnesium and calcium strengthen bones. Apart from this, you should eat such food in which the amount of vitamin C, D and phosphorus is high. Fish, sesame grains, pumpkin, and leafy vegetables are helpful in relieving back pain.

8. Improve Lifestyle – 

In today's hectic life, your lifestyle has become very bad, people wake up late in the morning and then go to office early as soon as they wake up and then sit there all day in front of the computer. There are many people who start chatting or watching movies with laptop in the morning even on holidays and sitting in bed or lying down keep doing movies or some work in the same posture for hours due to which body pain starts. Improve your routine and do not sit continuously.

Sometimes back pain is also complained of due to mental stress. Think positive and be cool whatever happens will be for good.
